The Sheperd

One day, one fine evening,
The sheeps went wandering,
Aimless, they went scattering,
All the enemy's doing.
~
The gates he wrecked open,
The sheeps he chased; beaten,
All for one little reason,
The sheperd's burden be deepened.
~
The enemy sly and slick,
Out to trick the weak,
A roaring teethless tiger,
The sheperd knew his cover.
~
The enemy now held by the neck,
But still the sheperd's heart bled,
So the sheperd held back,
He thought bout the sheeps he led.
~
The enemy he left aside,
To be dealt with another time,
Running, he went outside,
Paying for the enemy's crime.
~
The sheperd called out,
His voice spreading cross the place,
The sheep recognize his shout,
And return into his embrace.
~
One, two, three the sheeps came,
Though they all look the same,
He knew them all by name,
And not one, he blamed.
~
Ninety-eight, ninety-nine,
One sheep was lost in sight,
Hence the sheperd set out to find,
Leaving ninety-nine, to save one in fright.
~
There in a corner the lost sheep laid,
Hurt and fooled by the enemy's game,
"This is the price meant to be paid",
Sighed the little lost sheep in shame.
~
At that moment, the sheperd arrived,
By the sight of his sheep he is pleased,
Wounds and scratches he did not mind,
Cause his mission is accomplished.

Started writing the first few stanzas during one of the lectures at Petronas Orientation Camp.
Yes I was bored, but it made me reminisce on many events.
Yes I wasn't paying FULL attention, but I had no regrets! ;p
And I was always led to Psalms 23... My inspiration is You!
